A Day Inside

My lower legs and feet are still swollen from the flight, so I decide to stay in and rest. I eat granola bars for breakfast, and try one of the Nespresso pods provided by the hotel. It's nasty. I make Greek coffee again instead. Much better.

I don my Turkish Airlines socks and lay in bed with my feet up on the wall, reading my book, playing my Nintendo Switch, occasionally going on my laptop. I start to feel slight cramping, and go to the bathroom. Sure enough, my monthly cycle has just started. I contact New Life IVF Clinic to let them know so that we can schedule my first appointment. I message Jeremiah "Code Red". I think I'm so funny. We have one frozen embryo at New Life that we are waiting to get transferred.

I notice some pigeons hanging out on the ledge of the abandoned building across the street. I once again consider trying to venture in. I take my camera out to take photos of the pigeons when a window on the lower level gets punched out from the inside. Okay, all desire to break into the abandoned building has dissipated.

I start work around 15:00. Jeremy wakes up and books his flight to join me in Greece. We were just waiting for my cycle to start before he joined me as his time off that he can take at once is limited. He ends up booking the exact same travel itinerary I had booked just a few days prior. I fall asleep around midnight, Jeremiah wishing me good sleep as he headed off to work.
