Good Morning

We sleep in a bit longer than we wanted to, and walk down to a place called Abuela's for breakfast. Jeremy orders a dish called "Madam Croquet", and I get one called "Flapjack Sparrow". We both order mochaccinos. Unfortunately we must eat quickly as we have to get to New Life Clinic for our next IVF appointment. It's delicious though!

We speed walk back to the car, a bit of regret in our eyes as our tummies are overly stuffed.

New Life Clinic

We rush over to the clinic, making it barely on time. Jeremy goes and completes a sperm sample for the clinic. They will evaluate the health of his sperm and freeze the sample. They freeze a sample ahead of time just in case a sample cannot be collected on the day of egg collection. Pressure gets to some people, you know?

While he's doing that, I get a vaginal ultrasound. The doctor pats my arm, smiles down at me and says "You are ready." Yes! My egg collection is scheduled for this Friday, or as they say in You've Got Mail, "I'm getting my eggs harvested." Only two days to go! I've been anticipating this moment. My mom has always said that pregnancy comes easy in this family, so I figure once the embryo is implanted, I'll be good to go. So this first half is the hardest part to get through. It sure takes a lot of patience.

Downtown Thessaloniki

We leave the car parked near the clinic and take bus 3K downtown to go shopping. After driving our way into the city the time before, we'd much rather rely on public transportation. We go to the Agora Modiano which is like a large bazaar or flea market. We find several gifts for people, and a few items for ourselves. It's really fun exploring the different booths. We skip all the clothing ones, we just aren't interested in shopping for clothes when we are on vacation. We take bus 2K back toward the clinic, get in our car, and drive back to the apartment.

Good Night

We eat dinner at a restaurant called SAKIS, drive back to the VRBO, and bum for the rest of the evening.
