Day 4

Leaving Wall

Our alarm goes off at 6:30am, and we quickly get up, get dressed, pack our things into the Rav4 and left America's Best Value Inn.

We drive into Badlands National Park. If you'd like to read about our time in Badlands National Park, please click on the link below.

We were in the park for a short amount of time and we are now on our way back to Wall for breakfast. Our motel doesn't have breakfast on location, but we do have vouchers from the motel to eat breakfast at Badlands Bar and Grille. Jeremy orders biscuits and gravy with bacon and hashbrowns. I order French toast with bacon and hashbrowns.

Leaving the restaurant, we decide we need coffee. There's a small drive-thru café called Stomping Grounds Coffee, which is probably the best thing in Wall. We then go back into Badlands National Park.

Rapid City

We exit the park at the Northeast Gate, hop onto I-90 West, and go to Rapid City.

We arrive and the first thing we decide to do is find a place to have lunch. We are hungry! We go to Colonial House, where we order cheese curds and both get walleye.

We check into our hotel, The Rushmore Hotel, unpack the car, and then go explore the area to do some possible shopping.

The first store we enter is an antique store called Younique Finds. We find a few items, and then depart. We head downtown and check out a place called Heroes and Villains, followed by Celtic Connection of the Black Hills, Starbucks, Who's Toy House, and then Mitzi's books. We then go over to the mall and looked around. The mall is very nice, and unsurprisingly called Rushmore mall. The last place we look at is a place called BAM which is a lot like 2nd and Charles back home in Colorado.

For dinner, we go to a place called Millstone. We sit in the parking lot for a bit, finishing our coffee from BAM. We go inside and Jeremy orders a Monte Cristo sandwich and I get a chicken melt.

By the time we are done eating, it is time to call it a night. We return to the hotel and go to bed.
