Breakfast

Jeremiah and I wake up around 09:00 and decide that we will go out for breakfast since we don't currently have any eggs. We decide to try out a place called Melrose which is down on the boardwalk.

We make our way down, and Jeremy orders a freddo cappuccino with a Mediterranean Omelet. His omelet has mushrooms, peppers, and tomatoes. I order a cappuccino and an American omelet that is supposed to have potatoes, sausage and cheese. The potatoes are fries, the sausage is hot dogs, and the cheese is nacho cheese. Not what I am expecting nor wanting.

Shopping

We go up a block and walk back towards the VRBO, stopping in a small fruit/farmer's market that I spotted earlier on this trip. Jeremy picks out cherries, apricots, and kiwi. He also purchases lemons for cooking.

We drop the fruit off at the VRBO, grab our reusable shopping bags, and walk to the grocery store. We get eggs, seafood, potatoes, mushrooms, and a huge jug of water that we can fill our water bottles with. We also purchase snorkeling gear, just for fun! There's a pack of two and it's very reasonably priced. We walk back to the apartment, putting our groceries away.

Swimming

We decide to go swimming at the end of the block near the bar called Cuba where I bought water my very first night in Peraia. We take our brand new snorkeling gear and beach towels down to the sand, leaving everything but the apartment key behind. Cuba serves us coffee on the beach as we dip in and out of the water. We find so many shells to add to our collection of treasures, and discover that you can walk out a great distance from shore as the water is very shallow.

Jeremy wants to take some pictures, so he runs back to the apartment and grabs his phone and my wallet so that we can pay for the coffees. I go out as far from the shore as possible while still standing with my feet touching the sand under the water and Jeremy takes a snapshot - you can barely see me I'm so far away!

The Boardwalk

After three coffees each, though Jeremy had to finish my third, we settle the bill with Cuba and go back to the apartment to shower and change. We walk down to Alexandros to get ice cream. I get a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of mocha (or moka in Greek) in a dish, and Jeremiah gets two scoops of Black Forest in a chocolate waffle cone. We walk down towards the beach and find a bench to sit on and enjoy our treats.

We finish our ice cream and walk down the boardwalk to see if we can find Thessa. We can't find her, but we do find Niki the cat! He seems to be on a mission, charging down the beach, but he does stop for a few pets. That's when I notice that he is now neutered and his ear is clipped. He's been busy since I last saw him!

It's now time for dinner, so we stop to eat at the restaurant with the maître d'hôtel who considers himself my "Greek Best Friend". We order fried kefalograviera cheese and oyster mushrooms for appetizers. We like the cheese but are not big fans of the mushrooms. Jeremy orders octopus for his main course, and I have sea bass. The main courses are delicious.

Goodnight

We walk back to the apartment, watch The Da Vinci Code, and head to bed.
